Learn MoreOur Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) is part of Solmar’s commitment as leading home builders in Ontario, providing you an opportunity to inspect your new home for any items that may be damaged, incomplete, or not working. During the PDI, you’ll also learn about essential systems and maintenance tasks within your new luxury home or condo.
This inspection is scheduled approximately two weeks before your occupancy or closing date. Our team will confirm a one-to-two-hour appointment during business hours to ensure all details meet our high standards.
For Solmar high-rise condominiums in Brampton and Mississauga, homeowners can occupy their suite on their Interim Occupancy date, although the unit is not officially on title until the building registers with the Condominium Board. This delay means no mortgage is needed until the final closing, and an occupancy fee covers maintenance fees, property tax, and interest on the outstanding balance.
Upon registration, Solmar’s Customer Service team will notify you and your lawyer of the final closing date.
Our legal team will work with your lawyer to ensure all requirements are met before your occupancy or closing date. Once finalized, Solamr’s Customer Service team will notify you when your keys are available.
It is quite common for the keys to be released later in the working day and can be picked up from the Customer Service office on site during business hours – which are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm.
For High Rise- If the keys have been authorized during business hours, the occupancy closing package will be forwarded to the concierge desk for pick up and can be picked up by homeowner anytime after 5:00pm.
We do not recommend you moving in on the same day as closing as we will not be able to determine what time the keys will be authorized to be released.
High-Rise Condos: Your mailbox keys will be included in your Occupancy Package.
Low-Rise: Pick up your mailbox keys from the nearest post office, bringing a piece of government ID and your Tarion CCP provided at your PDI appointment.
To update your mailing address, visit the Canada Post website to complete your address change.
